What is the job of an Interior Designer?

The job of an interior designer is to create a functional space that is suitable in mood and style, creating a balanced harmonious space. We assess each clients desires and goals, help you figure out what you want, create a plan and execute. We handle the planning, sourcing of materials, purchasing, delivery and installation making it an exciting, stress-free experience!

Does an Interior Designer have access to items that I don't?

Yes! Interior designers have trade accounts with access to vendors that may not be available to the every day consumer. What happens during the In-Home Consultation?

During the one hour In-Home Consultation, we get to know you, how you live and your goals. We'll take a quick tour of your home interior and discuss your needs, what type of style or things you like and don't like, as well as any solutions or requirements for your space. We'll also discuss your preliminary investment. We will talk general design ideas and direction. We will then discuss the next steps, project timeline, explain the design process and expectations. This meeting enables us to develop a custom design plan for your specific needs.

What is Room Redesign?

Room Redesign is when we come in to consult and/or decorate using items you already have with little to no new furniture, fixtures or accessories. This is a great option for those that need a designers expertise in layout, balance and detail but also looking to limit your investment. This may range from furniture placement, accessories, organizing and decluttering tips. If new items are to be purchased, it will be determined during this meeting in order to develop your custom interior design plan. 

What type of projects can you do? Is any project too small?

No project is too small! We work on projects of all sizes and investment levels. From consultation only services (ideal for DIYers but still want the expert guidance) to full-service residential remodel. We can be as involved as you'd like, allowing for a custom design plan. No matter the project size we will work with you on your specific needs and help keep your investment on point. Pricing structure for furniture and furnishings is flexible, offering a good, better, best price range to ensure we meet each clients goals.

Can you manage the entire project?

Yes, we handle the planning, sourcing, purchasing, management, shipping, receiving, delivery and install for most projects. For larger projects such as a full-service remodel we act as a liaison between you and your contractor. We work with your contractor to plan the layout and choose finishes and fixtures. It is important to plan and layout the entire project upfront even before construction begins to consider placement of items such as outlets and lighting needs. 

Why hire you instead of an in-store decorator?

An in-store decorator only has access to the brand they work with. An interior designer has access to dozens of manufacturers which gives you a truly customizable experience and product.  As a locally owned business, hiring an interior designer not only supports small businesses, but allows for a more personal experience.
